How you are perceived as a leader – How to improve those perceptions.

The people who work with you and your clients, are assessing you all the time. Everything is important: The dimensions of your face, and how you use it signal your reliability, your trustworthiness, your competence, and the likelihood that you will respond to challenges with aggression; The way you move signals your strength, your health, your emotional state, and your openness; Even your name impacts on how you will be perceived as a leader, the assessment is made immediately. Indeed, the perceptions of an individual formed in the first moments of an interaction can be difficult to overcome no matter how people go on to act.

In his talk Dr Rick van der Zwan he will explain how leaders can use their knowledge of the human brain and of emotional intelligence to understand:

How you are perceived as leaders and how to improve those perceptions

How the environment changes those perceptions and how to create environments that lead to more positive outcomes;

How to embrace and use diversity.

The impact of ambiguity on your teams and how to reduce it to improve effectiveness.
